The Policy
Our goal is to impart knowledge and training in the most effective way possible. At the Academy we believe learning is most effective in a face to face setting with minimum student absences. To minimise student absence we have scheduled the Academy term dates as per public and school holidays. We understand that students in certain jobs and responsibilities may occasionally not be able to class on site but may otherwise be able to do so online. Thus we will endeavour to stream classes online. Students should do their best to plan and manage their days and time so that they do not miss any class. The Academy mandates a minimum attendance of 80%. At least 80% of these must be on-site. If anyone is not able to meet this requirement and the teacher feels that this will impact their learning we will politely ask them to withdraw from the courses or repeat the course. Certificate of course completion will not be awarded to those who do not meet this requirement. To avail online streaming facility students must notify the Academy in advance of the reason. Examples of legitimate excuses: sickness, travel, childcare, rostered weekend work etc.
